Instructions

  1. 1

Combine the flour, salt, and pepper in a large zip-lock plastic bag.

  2. 2

Add pork in batches and shake to coat.

  3. 3

In a large skillet, brown the meat in butter, two or three pieces at a time, using the butter slowly as needed. Exterior of pork should look slightly cooked.

  4. 4

Transfer browned pieces of pork to a 5-qt slow cooker.

  5. 5

In the same skillet, add chopped onions and sauté briefly.

  6. 6

Add all remaining sauce ingredients. Cook and stir until mixture comes to a boil.

  7. 7

Pour mixture over meat in the crock pot (it will be almost full).

  8. 8

Cover and cook on low for 9-10 hours or until meat is tender.

💡 Cook's Notes

The boneless pork can be any nice looking cuts on the butcher's counter. The slow and low cooking process will tenderize whatever you select. If you have no red wine vinegar, cider vinegar also works well.
