Famous Brownies (Big Batch)
Ingredients
Instructions
- 1
Preheat oven to 350°F.
- 2
Melt chocolate and butter in microwave on medium power until just melted. Mix together and set aside to cool about 10 minutes until warm to the touch, but not hot.
- 3
In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt together. Set aside.
- 4
Mix sugar into the warm chocolate mixture.
- 5
Whisk the eggs and vanilla until well mixed, then add to the chocolate mixture.
- 6
Fold in the flour mixture (and nuts if using) until just combined.
- 7
Pour into greased baking pans (one 9x12", or three 8" square pans).
- 8
Bake until a toothpick inserted halfway between center and edge comes out with only a few fudgy crumbs, about 20-25 minutes. If batter coats toothpick after 20 minutes, bake 2-5 minutes more.
- 9
Cool brownies completely on a wire rack before cutting.
💡 Cook's Notes
Store covered with foil for up to 2 days. For a small batch, use 1/3 of all ingredients. Callebaut chocolate from Belgium makes these even better.
