Fruit Cobbler (Pie Crust Type)

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Place berries in a lightly greased 2-quart baking dish.

Combine 3/4 cup sugar and 3 Tbsp flour; add water and lemon juice, mixing well.

Pour flour mixture over berries.

Bake at 350°F for about 15 minutes while preparing the pastry.

Meanwhile, prepare the pastry:

Knead dough 4 or 5 times.

Roll to about 1/4" thickness on a lightly floured surface.

Cut dough to fit baking dish and place atop the fruit.

Brush top with melted butter.

Increase oven temperature to 425°F and bake for 20 to 30 minutes, or until pastry is golden brown.

Serve with cream and sugar, if desired.
