    Cut a whisk so that it has only straight tines for drizzling the spun sugar.

    In a heavy saucepan, bring all ingredients to a boil at 300°F.

    Remove from heat and pour into a Pyrex bowl. If desired, tint with food coloring.

  4. 4

    Dip whisk tines into syrup and wave across a lifted structure, like a turkey basting stand. Move it back and forth so sugar cools just as it hits the stand.
