Sticky Stout BBQ Sauce

In a large saucepan, sauté the chopped onion in olive oil for 4-5 minutes until tender.

Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute.

Gradually stir in the stout beer.

Boil for 8-10 minutes until reduced by half.

Reduce heat to medium.

Stir in the BBQ sauce, fig preserves, and apple cider vinegar (and peppers if desired).

Cook over medium heat for 4-5 minutes until fully heated.

Bottle and refrigerate.
