    Preheat oven to 375°F. Grease baking sheet with Crisco.

    Combine Crisco, brown sugar, milk, egg, and vanilla in a large bowl. Beat at medium speed until well blended.

    In a separate bowl, combine oats, flour, salt, baking soda, and cinnamon.

    Mix dry ingredients into creamed mixture until just blended.

    Stir in raisins and walnuts.

    Drop rounded tablespoons of dough about 2 inches apart onto prepared baking sheet.

    Bake 10-12 minutes until just lightly browned.

    Cool on baking sheet for 2 minutes, then transfer to foil-lined counter to cool completely.

💡 Cook's Notes

**Variations:** **Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies:** Omit the raisins and add 1 cup chocolate chips. **Maple Frosted Oatmeal Cookies:** Omit raisins and add 1 1/2 tsp maple flavoring to the dough. Bake and cool. Frost cooled cookies with a mixture of 1 container Duncan Hines Vanilla Layer Cake Frosting and 1 tsp maple flavoring. Garnish each cookie with a walnut half.
