Firecracker Grilled Salmon (Paleo)

Instructions

    Place the salmon fillets in a large zip-lock bag.

    Whisk together all wet and dry ingredients for the marinade.

    Pour 3/4 of the marinade into the bag with the salmon, reserving the remaining 1/4 for basting the fish as it cooks on the grill.

    Seal the bag and refrigerate for 30 minutes to marinate.

    Heat barbecue grill to 400°F.

    Remove salmon from bag, discarding bag and marinade left behind.

    Grill salmon, basting with reserved marinade:

    The fish should flake with a fork when done. Be careful not to overcook it.

    Remove from heat and discard tough outer skin.

    Serve with lime wedges (optional) and any unused marinade (optional).

💡 Cook's Notes

The crushed red pepper can be pulverized in a blender for a finer texture. Fresh garlic can also be pureed in a small blender to make a paste for better distribution in the marinade.
