    Drain pineapple, reserving 1/3 cup syrup.

    Blend reserved syrup into cornstarch and soy sauce.

    Marinate chicken in this mixture for 30 minutes at room temperature.

    Drain chicken, saving the marinade.

    Heat oil in a hot wok, then stir fry in stages:

    Return chicken to the bottom of the wok and add marinade and pineapple.

    Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly.

    Cover and cook one more minute.
