Steamed Cod in Napa Lettuce

Instructions

Marinate the cod fillets in the marinade mixture.

Blanch Napa lettuce leaves in lightly salted boiling water for 1-2 minutes until pliable.

Cut cod fillets into smaller pieces, about 3" square.

Place one cod piece on each leaf.

Season with oil, oyster sauce, fresh ginger, and hot seasoning powder.

Wrap by rolling the cod in the leaf and secure with toothpicks.

Steam in a steamer for 5-6 minutes.

For the sauce, mix rice wine vinegar, Pommery mustard, chopped green onions or chives, sesame oil, and shredded ginger.

Serve the steamed cod parcels with the sauce.
💡 Cook's Notes
To encourage Napa lettuce leaves to curl better, turn them curl side down and score them with a knife along the thick base several times.
