Crostini with Goat Cheese, Honey & Walnuts
Ingredients
Instructions
- 1
Preheat oven to 350°F with rack in middle. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- 2
Spread walnuts in a single layer on a second baking sheet. Toast in the oven, stirring once, until lightly golden and fragrant, 5 to 7 minutes. Transfer baking sheet to a wire rack and let nuts cool. Keep oven on.
- 3
On a diagonal, cut 16 (1/3 inch thick) bread slices from baguette. Reserve any remaining bread for another use.
- 4
Arrange slices in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil.
- 5
Bake, turning once, until toasts are crisp and edges are pale golden, about 12 minutes. Transfer baking sheet to a wire rack and let toasts cool.
- 6
Meanwhile, stir together goat cheese, parsley, chives, 1 1/2 tsp honey, and pepper in a bowl.
- 7
Roughly chop the toasted walnuts.
- 8
Spread cheese mixture onto the toasts and transfer to a serving plate.
- 9
Top with walnuts, drizzle with remaining 2 Tbsp honey, and sprinkle with pepper.
