    Clean the potatoes well.

    Place them in microwave for 3 1/2 to 5 minutes, depending on quantity.

    Meanwhile, melt the butter in a Dutch oven over medium-high heat.

    Add the heated potatoes to the pot and sprinkle with salt and pepper.

    Cover the pot and reduce heat to low.

    Let the potatoes simmer in the butter and their own juices for 20 minutes, shaking the pot every 7 minutes.

    Turn off heat and sprinkle with chopped dill.

    Add more salt and pepper if needed.

💡 Cook's Notes

Option: Serve with a dollop of sour cream. This takes little effort, little time, and is delicious. A favorite way to prepare potatoes for a dinner party.
