Microwave Steamed Vegetables

Cut vegetables into bite-size pieces, small enough that at least two different kinds can be stabbed by a fork and comfortably eaten together. The variety of flavor combinations makes this dish interesting.

Place cut vegetables into a microwave steaming dish.

Pour dressing over the top for flavor.

Season with salt and pepper to taste if desired.

Add about 1 tsp water for extra steam.

Cover the dish and microwave on HIGH for about 6 minutes for 1-2 servings. Increase time for larger quantities.
💡 Cook's Notes
Various brands of dressings work well here - the goal is to add flavor without detracting from the healthiness of the meal. Lemon herb dressing pairs nicely with vegetables. Honey mustard is another good option. Avoid heavy oil-based dressings to keep the dish light and low in calories.
