In a food processor, cream the cream cheese until smooth.

Add the cleaned green onions with stems.

Add garlic if using.

Add the canned shrimp.

Add lemon zest and/or juice to taste.

Add chopped parsley.

Season with salt, white pepper, and cayenne pepper to taste.

Puree everything until smooth.

For added texture, stir in bits of grilled shrimp and some capers.
💡 Cook's Notes
Adding sour cream to this mix will gradually liquify it if you prefer a less stiff dip. For more complex flavor, substitute or add Piri Piri shrimp. Bronwyn Maris used 1 cup sour cream in this dip. Adding ground Parmesan cheese may ruin the smooth texture.
