    Preheat oven to 300°F.

    Cook onions in boiling water to cover for 1 minute, then remove and plunge into ice water to loosen skin. Peel loose skin.

    Arrange onions in lightly greased 1-quart baking dish and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.

    Combine half and half, flour, salt, Worcestershire sauce, and pepper; stir well and pour over onions. Sprinkle with paprika.

    Cover and bake 15 minutes or until tender.

    Serve with slotted spoon.
