    Shred potatoes and squeeze in paper towels to remove moisture.

    Heat pan and melt 1 Tbsp butter.

    Add shredded potatoes and form into a patty.

    Cook on one side for 5-7 minutes.

    Turn, add butter if needed, and sprinkle chives on top.

    Cook 4 minutes more.

💡 Cook's Notes

For extra crispy hash browns, try parboiling the shredded potatoes first, then spin dry and squeeze before pan frying.
